Welcome to your MathRoom
Here are your MathRoom Lessons with explanations, examples, practice and full solutions on topics you're currently learning, reviewing, or prepping for a test or exam. The texts are CONVERSATIONS on topic, designed to turn you into your own math tutor if you engage with them using the MathRoom Method.
THE MATHROOM METHOD
1. READ THE TEXTS OUT LOUD TO YOURSELF & STUDY THE EXAMPLES.
Speak the words of the lessons to yourself playing both teacher and student roles.
Carefully study the presentation format and math in the solutions of the many examples.
Copy examples of special interest by hand into a notebook for future reference.
2. DO THE PRACTICE EXERCISES AND CHECK YOUR WORK.
Write full solutions (like you would on an exam) for ALL the practice questions and check them for accuracy and form with the full solutions provided. If you have trouble with some questions, reread the lesson text and study the examples and solutions -- then try again.
3. TAKE NOTE OF "TROUBLE" TOPICS AND DO FOLLOW-UP LESSON(S)
Take note of the question(s) or question types that you can't do and get help from the Tutor live or online. Then do the assigned follow up lessons and practice to make sure you understand the topic. Try test and exam questions on topic and always check your work with the solutions provided.
THE MORE YOU TALK YOUR MATH
THE BETTER YOUR MATH WILL BE
THE BETTER YOUR MATH MARKS WILL BE! |
Reminder: NEVER PRINT ANY OF THESE FILES WITH YOUR PRINTER. Learn from them by reading them out loud to yourself from the computer screen. If you try to print them out, you'll empty your color cartridge and your paper tray in no time at all. My objective is to save trees but share the knowledge anyway with electrons. Besides, if you copy the questions you learn a lot more than if you click a print icon.
